Berrien County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of 2000, the population is 16,235. The 2007 Census Estimate placed the population at 16,722 . The county seat is Nashville, Georgia. Berrien County was created 25 February 1856 out of portions of Coffee, Irwin and Lowndes counties by an act of the Georgia General Assembly.
